Welcome to November’s Give-A-Day and our topic of RECYCLING! So, what the heck does recycling even mean?! Well, in the U.S., recycling means collecting materials that would otherwise be thrown away as trash and remanufacturing them into new products. There are many economic and environmental benefits to recycling and November 15th specifically (America’s Recycle Day) is a day dedicated to celebrating and encouraging the process.

We encourage you to research the recycling guidelines for your area to be sure you are recycling in the most efficient and effective way (Town of Berlin and City of Salisbury guidelines can be found below!). MCBP also always encourages the REDUCE portion of the three R’s, which is simply trying to reduce the amount of trash we generate… having less things!
