After careful evaluation, the decision has been made to close the public access kayak launch at this location. While the project was originally envisioned as a valuable opportunity to expand public access to the water and encourage outdoor recreation, the remote and secluded nature of the site has unfortunately resulted in ongoing misuse and activities that pose significant public safety and liability concerns.
We remain committed to supporting responsible public access and environmental stewardship throughout the watershed and appreciate the community’s understanding as we prioritize the safety, security, and long-term wellbeing of both visitors and neighboring properties.
