Stories to Save Us:The Saltmarsh Sparrow

April 25 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
On April 25th at 1pm, MCBP has partnered with the Assateague Island National Seashore on a filmscreening event of Stories to Save Us: The Saltmarsh Sparrow. We will explore the historic and current conditions of mid-Atlantic salt marshes through the perspective of a small, reclusive brown bird called the Saltmarsh Sparrow. The filmscreening will be followed up by a Q&A panel of experts on salt marsh ecosystems, restoration projects, and their surrounding communities. This portion of the event will take place at the Assateague Island National Seashore visitor’s center.
Following the panel, Rangers from the National Seashore will lead an optional guided walk on Assateague Island, across the Verrezano Bridge, to discuss phenomena happening in the Park’s salt marshes, and ongoing efforts to address them.
Theater space is limited! Please register for this event using the QR or HERE
