Discover Your Watershed – Lizard Hill – Invasive Invasion
- This event has passed.

June 13, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
At MCBP, we make it a priority to provide opportunities to community members and visitors of all ages to explore and expand their knowledge of our watershed’s restoration properties. Community exposure broadens public knowledge, and this knowledge helps ensure commitment to the longevity of those projects and support for future projects. This mindset inspired an education and volunteer involvement series in 2017 titled, “Discover Your Watershed”. This public series introduces participants to public and private restoration sites in the Coastal Bays watershed, while providing restoration and educational hands-on activities such identifying macroinvertebrates, removing invasive species, and planting wetlands. Check out our volunteer calendar for this year’s events.
The second Discover Your Watershed event of 2020 will be an invasive invasion adventure! This event will be focused on removing invasive plant species from the Lizard Hill Restoration Site. This is a completely FREE event and will be fun-filled day spent exploring one of MCBP’s beautiful restoration sites.
This event will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. Please contact Liz Wist at lwist@mdcoastal
