Lewis Road Kayak Launch

We’re hosting our second Discovery Your Watershed event at the Lewis Rd. Kayak launch day use area. Join us for a few hours in the afternoon as we remove the common invasive climbing vine, wisteria. All necessary tools will be provided. Please monitor the weather and dress accordingly. Sturdy boots are recommended, and gloves, if you have your own, are encouraged. Water and extra gloves will be available on site.

This site is located off Lewis Rd. in Berlin. The kayak launch is situated on Ayres Creek, directly across from a trail head at the Ilia Fehrer Nature Preserve, making it an ideal water access site that also offers visitors a chance to paddle to the preserve and explore one of our areas fascinating forested wetlands.
