SUMMARY:Discover Your Watershed - Showell Nature Preserve - On the Prowl at Showell
DESCRIPTION:At MCBP\, we make it a priority to provide opportunities to community members and visitors of all ages to explore and expand their knowledge of our watershed’s restoration properties. Community exposure broadens public knowledge\, and this knowledge helps ensure commitment to the longevity of those projects and support for future projects. This mindset inspired an education and volunteer involvement series in 2017 titled\, “Discover Your Watershed”. This public series introduces participants to public and private restoration sites in the Coastal Bays watershed\, while providing restoration and educational hands-on activities such identifying macroinvertebrates\, removing invasive species\, and planting wetlands. Check out our volunteer calendar for this year’s events. \n\n	\n		\n				\n\n											\n																						\n													\n												\n																						\n													\n												\n																						\n													\n												\n																						\n													\n												\n																						\n													\n												\n																						\n													\n						\n				\n\n						\n		\n	\n\n\nThe final Discover Your Watershed event of 2020 will be an on the prowl at Showell adventure! This event will be from the Showell Nature Preserve Site. This is a completely FREE event and will be fun-filled day spent exploring one of MCBP’s beautiful restoration sites. \nThis event will be held on Saturday\, November 7th\, 2020 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.
